Melissa Sinclair, PhD has more than twenty years’ experience working at the intersection of conflict and international development. From 1999-2003 she worked for the NGO World Hope International, to include two years in post-war Kosovo. From 2003-2012 she was with the US Government, to include two years in Afghanistan with the US Agency for International Development. In 2022, she joined Somatic Experiencing International (SEI) as the Crisis Response Coordinator for the SE Ukraine Task Force. Today she continues to support the response of the SE community to the effects of the war in Ukraine via projects in Ukraine with SEI and Libereco Partnership for Human Rights. Dr. Sinclair is a Professional Lecturer at American University in Washington, D.C. (2017-present). 

Dr. phil. Imke Hansen is the Vice Executive Director of the German-Swiss Human Rights organization Libereco Partnership for Human Rights and the Director of the MHPSS program FENIKS Trauma Support. Since 2016 she has been working on the frontlines in eastern Ukraine providing psychosocial support, training, humanitarian aid and assistance with evacuations. She holds a doctorate of philosophy in East European history/memory studies and conducted 15 years of scholarly work in the field of violence and trauma (Uppsala University and Hamburg University) before transitioning fulltime to field-based activities.
